Indian Army Agniveers Complete Intense Combat Assault Exercise at Air Defence Centre

GOPALPUR, May 31, 2026 — Agniveers at the Army Air Defence Centre recently completed a rigorous assault exercise designed to evaluate their physical endurance, combat reflexes, and overall battlefield readiness.

The tactical training program took place under realistic field conditions to test the teamwork, physical toughness, and quick decision-making skills of the young soldiers. Organized under the oversight of Headquarters Madhya Bharat Area, the initiative focused heavily on building mission-oriented leadership and sharp tactical awareness among the trainees.

The field exercise pushed the soldiers through a series of demanding scenarios, including complex obstacle courses, section-level assault simulations, and classic fire-and-movement drills. Each phase of the operation was specifically structured to simulate rapid-response situations under extreme physical fatigue, allowing the Agniveers to enhance their operational capability and build the confidence necessary for real-world combat environments.

This training initiative aligns with the broader strategy of the Indian Army to emphasize modern, technology-enabled, and combat-focused preparation. By subjecting the troops to realistic warfare pressures, the Surya Command aims to build a disciplined and resilient force.

Commanders noted that these consistent, high-intensity training programs ensure that the upcoming generation of soldiers remains physically and mentally prepared to meet the evolving challenges of modern battlefields.
