Jammu and Kashmir Government Announces Summer Vacations for Jammu Division Colleges From June 1
JAMMU, May 30 — Jammu and Kashmir Minister for Education, Social welfare, Health and Medical Education Sakeena Itoo has officially announced the commencement of summer vacations for all government and private colleges falling under the summer zone of the Jammu division.
According to an official statement shared by the minister on X, the holiday period will begin on June 1 and conclude on July 15, 2026. The decision has been taken in view of the intense heat conditions accompanying the onset of the summer season.
The administration emphasized that the primary objective behind the synchronized break is to safeguard the well-being and health of both the students and the academic staff during the peak summer weeks.
Expressing her thoughts on the social media platform, the education minister extended her best wishes to the entire academic community of the Union Territory, wishing the students and faculty members a safe, healthy, and highly productive summer break.
