DGP Punjab Gaurav Yadav visits Amritsar to review law and order and launch e-challan system
AMRITSAR May 30, 2026:- Punjab Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav visited Amritsar today to chair a comprehensive law and order review meeting with senior officers. The session focused on assessing emerging crime trends, strengthening preventive policing strategies, and enhancing public safety and security across the region.
During his visit, Yadav inaugurated the newly established Mohkampura Police Station, which was developed under the Smart City Project. The new facility marks a significant step forward in strengthening local policing infrastructure and improving public service delivery in Amritsar.In line with the state’s commitment to technology-driven policing, the Director General of Police also launched the e-Challan System for the Amritsar Police Commissionerate.
Designed to promote greater transparency, efficient traffic enforcement, and improved road safety, this initiative makes Amritsar the fourth city in Punjab to implement automated e-Challans, following SAS Nagar, Jalandhar, and Ludhiana.
The visit concluded with an awards ceremony where Yadav honored police personnel with Commendation Discs, certificates, and cash rewards. The presentations were made in recognition of their exemplary service, dedication, and professionalism in the line of duty.
