Surgeon Vice Admiral Arti Sarin chairs Joint Consultative Machinery meeting at AFMSD Mumbai
MUMBAI, May 16, 2026 — Director General Armed Forces Medical Services Surgeon Vice Admiral Arti Sarin chaired the 11th Joint Consultative Machinery Level III meeting at the Armed Forces Medical Stores Depot in Mumbai today.
During the meeting, she reviewed critical issues regarding the welfare, service conditions, and training of Defence Civilian personnel within the DGAFMS cadre.
The Flag Officer lauded the vital contributions made by both industrial and non-industrial employees across various AFMS establishments, encouraging them to maintain professionalism, foster innovation, and actively participate in the ongoing digital transformation of the organization.
Additionally, the DGAFMS inaugurated the Laishram Hall at the Mumbai facility, dedicated in honour of Ashoka Chakra recipient Major Laishram Jyotin Singh, who was posthumously awarded the nation’s highest peacetime gallantry award.
