Reasi SSP Leads Crime Review Meeting and Orders Aggressive Action Against Drug Peddlers
KATRA, MAY 15, 2026:- Mukund Tibrewal, Senior Superintendent of Police for Reasi, chaired a high-level crime review meeting at the Police Station Katra conference hall to assess security and operational efficiency.
The meeting, attended by Kameshwar Puri, SP Katra, and other senior officers, focused on the time-bound disposal of special reported cases and accelerating the resolution of pending inquest proceedings and missing person reports. Mukund Tibrewal issued strict directives to supervisory officers to intensify efforts in tracing and apprehending absconders to ensure legal merit and community safety.
In alignment with the 100-Day Nasha Mukt Abhiyan launched by the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, the session placed significant emphasis on eradicating the drug menace in the region.
The SSP ordered the registration of cases under relevant legal sections and advocated for the aggressive use of preventive detentions under the PIT-NDPS Act.
Furthermore, directives were issued to proceed with the attachment of properties belonging to drug peddlers as part of a zero-tolerance approach toward narcotics trafficking.
These measures reflect the department’s commitment to maintaining law and order while safeguarding the youth from substance abuse.
