Udhampur drug awareness programme marks Mother’s Day celebrating youth and safety

UDHAMPUR 10 May 2026 :- The JCM Group organized a cultural event and drug awareness programme in Udhampur to celebrate Mother’s Day and educate the community on the dangers of substance abuse. The initiative featured various cultural performances from local children, using creative expression to highlight important social issues and promote a healthy lifestyle among the youth.

Shiv Kumar Sharma, the Deputy Inspector General of the Udhampur-Reasi Range, attended the gathering as the chief guest. During his address to the parents and children in attendance, he emphasized the necessity of a drug-free society and the vital role families play in prevention.

He encouraged parents to maintain open communication with their children to help them make responsible life choices.The programme concluded with an awards ceremony to recognize the young participants for their performances.
