GHSS Jhiri students, teacher tie Rakhi to President of India — A historic and heartwarming moment

JAMMU, AUGUST 11: In a moment that will forever be cherished in their memories, two bright students and their teacher from HSS Jhiri, Jammu, were bestowed with the once-in-a-lifetime honour of meeting the President of India Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan on the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan.
The delegation comprised Manvi and Anshu Devi of Class 9, accompanied by the school’s Lecturer Priti Malhotra.
With hearts brimming with pride and joy, the young ambassadors of the Jammu Division tied a Rakhi on the wrist of the first citizen of the country, symbolising the eternal bond of protection and respect.
Speaking about the occasion, Priti Malhotra expressed, “It was a proud and humbling moment for all of us. Meeting our President in person has not only inspired our students but also instilled in them a deeper sense of patriotism and responsibility towards the nation.”
The interaction with Droupadi Murmu left the students awestruck by her humility, warmth and encouraging words. The President’s gracious presence and her blessings have ignited in them a renewed commitment to excel and serve the nation.
Students were also given the opportunity to visit the Prime Ministers Museum, Amrut Udhyan and War Memorial.
