Jammu police chief chairs tri-range security meeting to enhance regional safety

SUNDERBANI, May 08 — Inspector General of Police Bhim Sen Tuti led a high-level tri-range security review meeting in Sunderbani today to evaluate the current security landscape across the Jammu region.

Joined by senior officials from the Jammu-Samba-Kathua, Udhampur-Reasi, and Rajouri-Poonch ranges, as well as representatives from the BSF and CRPF, the session focused on refining operational coordination and intelligence-based policing.

The leadership reviewed the existing security grid to ensure that response mechanisms remain robust and prepared for any emerging challenges.The meeting emphasized the necessity of seamless cooperation between the Jammu and Kashmir Police and various paramilitary forces.

The Inspector General highlighted that synchronized area domination and real-time intelligence sharing are critical components for maintaining peace and stability. Particular attention was given to strengthening the anti-infiltration grid and maintaining a high level of vigilance in vulnerable sectors.

Strategies for securing national highways were also discussed to ensure safety ahead of the upcoming pilgrimage season.Further discussions centered on the modernization of security databases and the importance of swift, coordinated responses during operational contingencies.

Officials agreed on the need for regular inter-agency communication and the continued training of Village Defence Guards to bolster security at the grassroots level.

By focusing on a unified and integrated framework, the administration aims to reinforce public confidence and ensure the long-term safety of both border and hinterland areas throughout the region.
