Sanjeev Verma leads voter awareness campaign at Purmandal Government Degree College

SAMBA, May 08 — Chief Electoral Officer Sanjeev Verma attended a comprehensive Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation awareness program today at Government Degree College Purmandal. The event, held in the Vijaypur Sub-Division, was designed to boost voter literacy and encourage higher turnout in upcoming elections.

The session brought together electoral officers, local citizens, and representatives from various political parties to discuss the vital role of the democratic process in the region.The program featured several creative segments, including speeches by students and a traditional Nukkad Natak performed by local artists. these performances focused on the significance of ethical voting and the legal rights of every citizen to participate in the electoral system.

To mark the occasion, the Chief Electoral Officer distributed voter ID cards to newly registered young voters, welcoming them as first-time participants in the democratic framework and emphasizing their responsibility in shaping the future.While addressing the audience, Sanjeev Verma stressed that informed participation is the foundation of a strong democracy.

He urged the youth and community members to act as ambassadors for voter awareness, ensuring that every eligible individual understands the importance of casting their ballot.

The administration continues to prioritize such outreach activities to ensure that the electoral process remains inclusive and transparent for all citizens of Jammu and Kashmir.
