Minority Affairs Ministry Reviews Progress of PMJVK Projects with Central Organizations

NEW DELHI, May 8, 2026:-Ram Singh, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Minority Affairs, chaired a comprehensive review meeting with various Central Government Organizations to assess the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram.

The session focused on strengthening the on-ground delivery of essential projects and ensuring that the benefits of the scheme reach intended beneficiaries effectively.

During the meeting, officials emphasized the importance of completing non-starter works and updating the status of physical units to maintain momentum across various development sectors.

The discussions also addressed critical administrative requirements, including the submission of utilization certificates and the reconciliation of financial records. Representatives from several prominent institutions, such as Delhi University, Aligarh Muslim University, and the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, shared the challenges they face during field implementation.

The Ministry used this platform to review fresh proposals submitted by these organizations, aiming to expand the reach of the scheme in education, health, and skill development.To enhance oversight and accountability, the meeting included a specialized training session on the PMJVK NIGRANI App. This digital tool is designed to improve field monitoring and provide real-time tracking of project milestones.

By equipping representatives from organizations like NIT Jalandhar and the Secunderabad Cantonment Board with these monitoring capabilities, the Ministry seeks to ensure greater transparency and efficiency in the execution of national development projects.
