SSP Reasi Evaluates Operational Readiness in Arnas Sub-Division

REASI, April 27, 2026 — Senior Superintendent of Police Reasi Mukund Tibrewal conducted an extensive review of the operational preparedness of forces stationed within the Arnas Sub-Division. During the visit, SSP inspected several key police establishments, including the Thanole Police Post, Narkote Police Component, and minority pickets at Ladha and Chakalhawala.

He also assessed the progress of the under-construction Panassa Police Station to evaluate current security arrangements and infrastructure needs. The SSP was accompanied by SDPO Arnas Updesh Kumar and Dy.SP SOG Arnas Hirdeyjeet Singh.

At the Narkote Police Component, the SSP reviewed deployment strategies and instructed personnel to implement a structured roster for long-range patrols to increase regional vigilance. He highlighted the importance of integrating technology into policing and optimizing patrol mechanisms.

Furthermore, he emphasized the necessity of maintaining strong coordination with local communities and Village Defence Guards, especially in remote mountainous sectors. The inspection also covered camp infrastructure and the technical equipment available to the deployed forces.

During his assessment of the Ladha and Chakalhawala minority pickets, SSP reviewed area domination exercises and examined the support provided to Village Defence Guards to bolster the local security framework.

At the Thanole Police Post, he scrutinized the record rooms and operational units, directing staff to analyze historical militancy-related data. He issued orders for strict surveillance of anti-national elements to ensure continued peace.

This visit reinforces the commitment of the police to protect residents and visitors while maintaining a robust security presence across the district.
