Punjab Police Briefs 2024 Batch IAS Trainees on Governance and Operational Synergy

CHANDIGARH, April 23, 2026 — Senior Punjab Police officials hosted an interactive session with 10 IAS Officer Trainees from the 2024 batch as part of their structured attachment programme to foster inter-service collaboration.

The engagement included high-level briefings from the Special Directors General of CAD and Women Affairs, Headquarters, Traffic, and Cyber Crime, alongside the heads of critical operational wings such as Intelligence, the Anti-Gangster Task Force, the Anti-Narcotic Task Force, and Counter Intelligence.

This initiative provided the young officers with firsthand exposure to the complexities of modern policing, focusing on the essential roles of leadership, strategic decision-making, and coordination within the state’s security framework.

Through a series of detailed presentations and direct discussions, the session aimed to bridge the gap between administrative oversight and field-level law enforcement. The interaction highlighted the importance of building a robust administrative-policing synergy to ensure more responsive and citizen-centric governance.

By deepening the trainees’ understanding of operational challenges and institutional learning, the Punjab Police emphasized that such collaborative platforms are vital for developing effective governance strategies that benefit the public.
