CM Omar Abdullah Pledges Support Following Fatal Bus mishap on Ramnagar-Udhampur Route

JAMMU, April 20 — Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has expressed profound grief and offered his heartfelt condolences following a tragic bus accident on the Ramnagar–Udhampur route near the Jalo area today.

The Chief Minister extended his deepest sympathies to the families of those who lost their lives and offered prayers for the rapid recovery of the many individuals injured in the crash.

Highlighting the government’s commitment to the victims, he assured that the administration stands firmly with the affected families during this difficult time and is providing all necessary resources for their care.

In response to the emergency, the Chief Minister’s Office is maintaining constant communication with Government Medical College Udhampur to monitor the treatment of the survivors.

Chief Minister Abdullah has directed the district administration to prioritize and expedite rescue operations while instructing the Ministers for Health & Medical Education and Transport to oversee the delivery of essential aid.

The accident occurred this morning as the passenger bus traveled toward Udhampur, though the specific cause of the incident remains under investigation by authorities.
