Health Minister Sakeena Itoo Visits Ailing Father of MP Engineer Rashid at SMHS Hospital

SRINAGAR, April 19, 2026Minister for Health and Medical Education, Social Welfare, and Education, Sakeena Itoo, visited SMHS Hospital today to personally check on the health of Khazir Mohammad Sheikh, the father of Member of Parliament Sheikh Abdul Rashid, popularly known as Engineer Rashid.

Accompanied by MLA Hazratbal Salman Sagar and senior medical officials, the Minister received a comprehensive briefing from consultants and specialists regarding the patient’s current condition and ongoing treatment plan.

During the visit, Minister Itoo directed the Principal of GMC Srinagar and the Medical Superintendent of SMHS to ensure the delivery of high-quality medical care and constant supervision by a dedicated team of experts.

While interacting with the family members, she expressed her sincere concern and assured them of the Health Department’s full support, while also commending the hospital staff for their professional dedication to the patient’s recovery.
