Bengal Sappers Water Warriors Clinch Multiple Medals at Canoe Sprint Asian Games Test Event
MIYOSHI, April 19, 2026:- The Water Warriors of the Bengal Sappers delivered a stellar performance at the 2026 Canoe Sprint Asian Games Test event held in Miyoshi, Japan, from April 16 to 19.
Athletes from the Army Kayaking and Canoeing Node secured top honors, with Naib Subedar Salam Sunil and Havildar Megha Pradeep winning gold medals in the Men’s and Women’s Canoe Single 500-meter categories, respectively.
Further adding to the medal tally, Subedar Raju Rawat and Havildar Megha Pradeep earned silver medals in the Canoe Double 500-meter men and women events.
This stupendous achievement highlights the exceptional skill and dedication of the Indian Army’s aquatic athletes on the international stage.
