No RFID No Darshan Rule Enforced for Shri Machail Mata Yatra 2026

KISHTWAR, April 18, 2026:- The District Administration Kishtwar has launched a technology-driven management system for the Shri Machail Mata Yatra 2026, making online registration and Radio Frequency Identification Device cards mandatory for all pilgrims.

Under the new guidelines, the previous hybrid registration system has been discontinued in favor of a fully digital process.

Devotees are required to register through the official portal by uploading their personal details and photographs to generate a unique travel ID.

The administration has clarified that the rule of no RFID no darshan will be strictly enforced, and pilgrims must wear their issued cards visibly throughout the journey and return them at designated exit points after completing their visit.

To support this new safety framework, a 24/7 control room has been established at the SDM Office in Gulabgarh to monitor high-traffic locations such as Chashoti and the Darshani Gate through live surveillance feeds.

The management plan includes AI-enabled video surveillance for crowd density monitoring and a dedicated communication network to ensure connectivity along the pilgrimage route.

Additionally, vehicle movements are being strictly regulated from Gulabgarh, and real-time weather alerts are being provided to help devotees plan their journey safely.

These measures aim to improve operational efficiency and ensure a secure environment for all pilgrims participating in the yatra which commenced on April 14.
