Reasi Government Polytechnic Hosts Major Wellness Camp and Yoga Drive for Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan
REASI, APRIL 15, 2026:- In a significant push toward a healthier and drug-free society, Government Polytechnic College Reasi successfully organized a comprehensive medical camp and yoga awareness program today.
Held as a vital component of the ongoing 100-Day Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, the initiative brought together the AYUSH, Health, and Social Welfare Departments to foster a culture of wellness among the youth.
The college principal, Dr. Arun Bangotra, opened the event with a powerful call to action, urging students to steer clear of narcotics and reinforcing the institution’s dedication to long-term community health.
The program featured a diverse range of sessions designed to equip the nearly 270 participating students and staff with practical tools for a better lifestyle. Under the guidance of District Nodal Officer Dr. Kamal Kishore Dubey and Medical Officer Dr. Sonal Bhola, attendees underwent health check-ups while learning about the critical role of preventive medicine.
A dedicated yoga session led by instructor Majid Malik allowed students to experience the physical and mental benefits of various asanas firsthand. These activities were complemented by expert talks on mental well-being and pharmacy, featuring insights from various medical and social welfare professionals who highlighted that health is a multifaceted commitment.
The event reached a high point with a series of motivational speeches, including a poignant address by senior citizen Yograj Mengi, who emphasized the societal impact of the anti-drug campaign.
Representatives from the District Hospital and local ITI further underscored the importance of mental resilience in the fight against addiction. The day concluded with a collective Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan pledge, where students and faculty formally committed to staying drug-free.
This successful gathering not only provided immediate health benefits but also strengthened the resolve of the Reasi academic community to act as a pillar of support in the regional movement against substance abuse.
