Handwara 27 August :- Security forces have unearthed a major terrorist hideout in the Bhuvan Forest of Rajwar, Handwara, following a precise intelligence-led operation. The Handwara Police’s Special Operations Group (SOG) discovered a large cache of war-like and logistical stores, all buried underground to avoid detection.
The haul included 22 UBGL grenades, a UBGL launcher, AK-47 ammunition, suspected explosives, and essential survival items such as tarpaulins, a gas cylinder, a cooking stove, and a significant stock of groceries. This recovery points to a well-established hideout intended for prolonged use by terrorists.
Authorities have confirmed that this operation has severely disrupted terrorist plans, preventing imminent attacks and safeguarding the area. The Handwara Police remains vigilant and is continuing its investigation to apprehend those involved.
