Pulwama Police Host District Level DGP/IGP Conference 2025–26 to Bolster Professional Standards

PULWAMA, March 30,2026 — In a major initiative to upgrade law enforcement capabilities, the Jammu and Kashmir Police organized a comprehensive one-day District Level DGP/IGP Conference 2025–26 at the District Police Lines (DPL) Pulwama on Monday.

The high-level session was presided over by SSP Pulwama Tanushree-IPS, who delivered the keynote and closing addresses, emphasizing the critical need for professional excellence, high-quality investigations, and enhanced public engagement.

The conference opened with an inaugural address by the Additional SP of Pulwama, setting the stage for a series of thematic workshops led by senior officers. These sessions focused on modern policing challenges, including advanced NDPS investigations, legal procedures for property attachment in drug-related cases, and the evolving tactics of cybercrime.

Beyond criminal investigations, the conference delved into the technical implementation of the Integrated Road Accident Database (iRAD) to improve road safety management and accident analysis. Participants, including SDPOs, SHOs, and officers from the Cyber Police Station, engaged in deep deliberations regarding beat policing, effective communication, and the importance of community-led crisis management.

A significant portion of the dialogue was dedicated to building stronger ties with local leaders to effectively defuse potential tensions.

By prioritizing these capacity-building initiatives, the Pulwama Police reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining a people-friendly force that is both technologically adept and professionally rigorous in its service to the public.
