CRPF DG G.P. Singh Honors Pulwama Martyrs; Reaffirms Commitment to Families’ Welfare

Srinagar , February 14, 2026 – On the anniversary of the 2019 Pulwama terror attack, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Director General G.P. Singh paid a heartfelt tribute to the 40 brave personnel who laid down their lives for the nation.

Describing the anniversary as a “deeply emotional moment,” the DG gathered with the force to remember the fallen heroes and emphasized that the CRPF remains steadfastly standing by the bereaved families. He highlighted that comprehensive welfare measures have been implemented to ensure their long-term stability, including the provision of housing and land.

So far, 19 families have received homes, while others have been allotted land through coordination with local administrations.

Beyond immediate financial assistance, DG Singh detailed the force’s commitment to the future of the martyrs’ children, noting that compassionate appointments for jobs are being provided as they reach adulthood.

To streamline support and address daily grievances effectively, the CRPF has launched the “Brave Family” app, which provides a direct digital link between the families and the force’s Welfare Directorate.

DG Singh stated that the CRPF will continue to support not only the Pulwama families but all those who have lost loved ones in subsequent operations, ensuring their needs are met with dignity and care.
