KPDCL Power Shutdown Alert: Electricity Supply to be Affected in Pulwama, Sangam, and Bijbehara Regions
SRINAGAR, February 6, 2026 — The Chief Engineer (Distribution) of the Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced a series of scheduled power shutdowns across several districts to facilitate essential maintenance and line works.
Residents in Siamoh, K Koot, Kaigam, Hariparigam, Chakoora, Gulzarpora, Panzgam, and Railway areas will experience a power outage on February 8, 2026, from 09:00 AM to 03:00 PM due to the shutdown of the 33 KV Sangam-II line.
Additionally, the 33 KV Pampore-Pulwama line will undergo maintenance on February 14 and 16, 2026, resulting in supply interruptions for Kakapora, Newa, Pahoo, Nehama, Zadoora, Gudoora, and Parigam between 09:00 AM and 03:00 PM.
Furthermore, power supply to Veer, Srigufwara, Zirpara, Shamsipora, and the Bijbehara SICOP industrial areas will be suspended on February 9, 11, and 14, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 03:00 PM to accommodate work on the 33 KV Wanpoh SICOP line. Consumers in these affected zones are advised to plan accordingly for these temporary disruptions.
