Two separate road accidents in Reasi and Doda leave five dead and six injured
JAMMU, JUNE 24 — Two separate road accidents in the Reasi and Doda districts on Wednesday left five people dead and six others injured. In the first incident, two women were killed and four others, including three children, sustained injuries after their vehicle met with an accident in the Chiral Shajroo area of Reasi district at around 1:30 PM.
The vehicle was carrying members of a local family when the tragedy occurred. The deceased have been identified as Razia Begum, 49, and Tahira Parveen, 32.The injured individuals, identified as Ashiq Hussain, 34, Ehtisham, 4, Aira Choudhary, 6, and Aiman Choudhary, 11, were quickly rushed to a nearby hospital by local residents.
They currently remain under medical observation. Authorities have already initiated a formal investigation to ascertain the exact cause of the vehicle crash.According to official data , the second accident occurred near the Khellani Tunnel (Pakki Hatti) in Doda district, where three members of a family from Nagrota, Jammu, lost their lives and two others were injured while returning from the Machail Mata Yatra.
The deceased have been identified as Jai Singh, 46, Babli Devi, 44, and Sonakshi, 17. The two injured family members, identified as Vaishali Devi, 22, and Aryan, 13, were evacuated to the hospital for treatment.
Police in both districts have taken cognizance of the incidents and further legal proceedings are underway.
