JAMMU, July 8: The Department of Information and Public Relations of Jammu and Kashmir has issued important safety and travel guidelines for pilgrims participating in the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2026.

To ensure a secure and organized pilgrimage, daily limits on the number of visitors are being strictly enforced in accordance with the Supreme Court directions.

Authorities have strongly advised all devotees to cooperate fully with the local administration and maintain discipline to ensure everyone’s safety.Pilgrims are required to complete their advance registration before traveling to Jammu and Kashmir.

Those who have already registered must travel only on their specific designated dates, as arriving early will not allow early access to the pilgrimage route. The administration noted that on-spot or Tatkal registration options are extremely limited and subject to strict availability.

Consequently, unregistered visitors currently in the region are requested to wait patiently for their allotted turn and travel date.

Officials reassured public members that every pilgrim will be given an opportunity to undertake the journey following the prescribed procedures and daily capacity limits.

The government emphasized that adhering to these rules and respecting the process is crucial to making the Amarnath Ji Yatra 2026 a safe, smooth, and memorable spiritual experience for everyone.
