Dehradun Airport conducts major night emergency mock drill

DEHRADUN, July 9 — Dehradun Airport successfully conducted a full-scale emergency mock exercise during the night hours to test its operational readiness. The drill simulated a realistic emergency scenario designed to evaluate the immediate response capabilities and the level of coordination among multiple security and safety agencies under low-visibility conditions.

A total of 185 personnel from various organizations participated in the large-scale safety exercise. The participating teams included the Central Industrial Security Force, State Police, State Fire Services, State Disaster Response Force, Airports Authority of India, AAI Fire Services, various commercial airlines, and emergency medical teams.The night-time drill successfully demonstrated seamless inter-agency coordination, rapid emergency response times, and strong operational readiness. Airport officials noted that the exercise provided crucial insights into managing complex crises and ensured that all response teams are fully prepared to handle real-time emergencies during night operations.
