Security Forces Bust Terror Hideout in Poonch, Seize PIKA Ammunition

POONCH, July 15, 2026 — A joint search operation by security forces successfully dismantled a terrorist hideout in the Garha area of the Sawjian sector in Poonch district’s Mandi tehsil on Wednesday.

Acting on specific intelligence inputs, the operational teams uncovered a cache containing 246 rounds of PIKA rifle ammunition concealed within the hideout. Officials confirmed that the ammunition was seized and the bunker was subsequently destroyed.

Following the recovery, security forces sanitized the immediate area and launched expanded search operations to ensure the sector is fully cleared.
