Reasi Government Polytechnic College holds poster competition for drug free campaign
REASI, May 08 — Government Polytechnic College Reasi hosted a poster making competition today as part of the 100 Day Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan initiative.
The event brought together 40 students who used their artistic skills to create informative visuals aimed at raising awareness about the dangers of drug abuse.
Organized under the leadership of Principal Arun Bangotra and coordinated by faculty members Himanshu Bakshi and Parshotam Lal, the program encouraged the youth to take an active stand against addiction.
During the event, the Principal spoke about the vital role educational institutions play in the Nasha Mukt campaign, stating that awareness serves as the most effective defense against substance abuse.
He noted that creative activities are essential for motivating the student body to build a disciplined and healthy society. The participants produced work that emphasized a drug-free lifestyle and highlighted the importance of making positive personal choices.
The competition saw impressive contributions from various departments, with Vikram from the Mechanical Department securing the first prize.
Ajay Singh and Aman Lal, both from the Electrical Department, earned the second and third prizes respectively. The students’ posters featured strong slogans and educational messages designed to inspire their peers and the local community.
The successful program concluded with a formal evaluation by a jury consisting of Veena Thapa, Ayushi Magotra, and Parshotam Singh. All participants were recognized for their efforts in using art as a tool for social change and public health advocacy.
