Power shutdown scheduled for various areas in Jammu and Kathua

JAMMU, MAY 09: Chief Engineer (Distribution) JPDCL Jammu has announced a scheduled power shutdown affecting several districts and industrial zones to facilitate maintenance work. On May 10, power supply will be suspended in Jarai, Kathua-IV, Kathua-V, Dhanna, Thain, Bhagthali Industry, Marheen, Sanjhimorh, and surrounding areas from 7 am to 2 pm.

During the same day, Gool, Sangaldan, Banihal, Ramsoo, and Khari will face outages from 8 am to 2 pm, while areas like Changran, Housing Colony, and Indra Nagar will be affected from 7 am to 11 am. Residents in Budhi, Nanan, and Barnoti should expect a shutdown from 6 am to 10 am, and the DC Office, Supwal, and Dagore areas will experience a brief disruption from 9:30 am to 10 am.

Additionally, Nagrota, Jagti, and the IIT and IIM campuses will see power cuts from 7 am to 1 pm on May 10.Further maintenance is planned for May 11, affecting Jakh, Jogpur, Sarore, and Vijaypur Town from 7 am to 12 noon. Several wards in Kathua, along with Bhagthali, Basantpur, and MES Lakhanpur, will experience outages from 6 am to 11 am.

Superintending Engineer (Distribution) JPDCL O&M Circle Kathua also confirmed that Dadwara, Bhaddu, and Phintar will see power disruptions on May 10, 12, and 13 from 7 am to 1 pm. Other upcoming cuts on May 11 include Rajpura and Lala Chack from 7 am to 11 am, and the Baba Sidhgoriya area from 7 am to 1 pm.

Local industries and Old Vijaypur are also scheduled for specific shutdowns on May 10 and 12 to ensure necessary infrastructure repairs.
