Omar Abdullah praises army and administration for Gulmarg tourist rescue

SRINAGAR, May 08 — Chief Minister Omar Abdullah expressed his appreciation today for the swift and coordinated rescue efforts led by the Indian Army and civil administration after a group of tourists became stranded in the high-altitude region of Gulmarg.

The emergency situation arose following a technical glitch in a private helicopter, which forced the aircraft to ground in a remote area.
