Jammu Rural Police arrest two drug peddlers with heroin in Domana
JAMMU, MAY 27, 2026 :- Jammu Rural Police apprehended two individuals involved in drug peddling activities within the jurisdiction of the Domana Police Station as part of the ongoing Nasha Mukt Abhiyaan against drug trafficking.
Acting on specific information received from reliable sources, a police team intercepted the two suspicious individuals who were traveling in an auto rickshaw bearing registration number JK02DK-4881.
During the subsequent checking and personal search of the suspects, authorities recovered approximately 5.25 grams of a heroin-like substance from their possession.The arrested individuals have been identified as Sudhanshu Ghai, a resident of Patoli Mangotrian, and Prabhjot Singh, a resident of Tehsil Gandoh in the Doda District who is currently residing in Talab Tillo, Jammu.
Following the recovery, a case has been registered under FIR Number 115/2026 under Sections 8, 21, 22, and 29 of the NDPS Act at the Domana Police Station. Further investigation is currently underway to trace both the backward and forward linkages involved in this drug network.
The Jammu Rural Police reiterated its commitment to sustaining the drive against the drug menace and appealed to the general public to cooperate in eradicating drugs from society.
