Eid-ul-Adha celebrations in Bhaderwah marked by prayers and sweet distribution

BHADERWAH, MAY 27, 2026 :- The festival of Eid-ul-Adha was celebrated with great enthusiasm and religious fervour in Bhaderwah as a large gathering from the Muslim community offered special prayers at the local Eidgah this morning. The congregational prayers were led by the Imam of Jamia Masjid Bhadarwah and witnessed the presence of Additional Deputy Commissioner Sunil Kumar Bhutyal.

On the auspicious occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner Sunil Kumar Bhutyal extended warm greetings to the people, conveying wishes of peace, brotherhood, and communal harmony. In his message, the official highlighted the importance of sacrifice, compassion, and sharing happiness with the needy. He appealed to the people to celebrate the holy festival with religious zeal, unity, mutual respect, and enthusiasm while praying for universal peace, prosperity, and stability.

To spread joy and festive spirit on the sacred day, the district administration along with police officers distributed sweets and chocolates among children. The initiative was carried out in the presence of Assistant Superintendent of Police Vinod Sharma, Sub-division Police Officer Naveed Shoket Qazi, Station House Officer Harjeet Singh, and Naib Tehsildar Parampreet Singh.

The officers interacted with the children and locals, extending Eid greetings and emphasizing the values of love, peace, and communal brotherhood associated with the festival.
