Indian Army Empowers Remote Kishtwar Students with Computer Set Distribution in Palmar

KISHTWAR, Aug 02 — As part of its continued commitment to promoting education and strengthening digital learning in remote areas, the Indian Army distributed five computer sets each to Government School, Horna and Government School, Ikhala, in the Palmar region of Kishtwar District on August 1, 2026.

The initiative aims to bridge the digital divide and provide students with greater access to modern technology-based education, supporting classroom learning, improving basic computer literacy, and helping youth develop essential digital skills required for higher education and future employment. Expressing deep appreciation for the timely assistance, school authorities and members of the local community noted that the new systems will significantly enhance the learning environment while further strengthening the bond of trust and cooperation between the armed forces and local citizens through meaningful outreach.
