The review session, attended by Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Akshay Labroo and senior engineers from various departments, focused on resolving technical and logistical bottlenecks including electricity supply requirements, pipeline leakages, and the integration of pending household connections.

Officials provided updates on the deployment of advanced technologies for the Noorbagh facility, such as the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition system and tertiary treatment processes, while also outlining the development of new project reports for expanding habitations in Zone-III of Greater Srinagar.

During the proceedings, the Divisional Commissioner set a firm deadline of May 31 for the completion of all electrical and repair work at the Noorbagh plant to ensure it becomes fully operational.

The meeting also addressed the progress of other vital environmental projects, including a 30 MLD facility designed to mitigate pollution in Dal Lake, a 14 MLD plant at Alluchibagh, and a 6 MLD project for the Doodganga area.

Regarding urban clearance, the administration noted that funds have been released for the relocation of shops along the 90-feet road, a process slated for completion by August this year.

With survey and design work finalized for the larger lake-focused projects, the Divisional Commissioner emphasized the need for synchronized efforts between departments to enhance the sewage management network and ensure the long-term ecological health of the region.
