Lieutenant Governor Flags Off Grand Shobha Yatra for Bhagwan Parshuram Jayanti in Jammu
Jammu, April 17, 2026:- Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha flagged off a grand Shobha Yatra from Chanakya Chowk Parade in Jammu today to commemorate the birth anniversary of Bhagwan Parshuram.
Organized by the Dogra Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha, the religious procession celebrated the life and enduring teachings of Bhagwan Parshuram, who is revered as the sixth incarnation of Lord Vishnu.
Before the commencement of the rally, the Lieutenant Governor performed traditional rituals and offered prayers for the peace, progress, and prosperity of the people of the region.
The event saw a large gathering of devotees and prominent figures who came together to honor the spiritual legacy and cultural heritage associated with the deity.
The ceremony was attended by a distinguished group of participants, including Ved Prakash Sharma, President of the Dogra Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha, alongside several members of the organizing committee and leaders of various religious organizations.
Local representatives, including Members of the Legislative Assembly Yudhvir Sethi and Devyani Rana, joined senior government officials and prominent citizens from across the city to mark the occasion.
