Air Marshal S Shrinivas reviews operational readiness and flies LCA Tejas at Air Force Station Sulur
SULUR, May 14, 2026 — Air Marshal S Shrinivas, the Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Training Command, conducted an official visit to Air Force Station Sulur on May 13, 2026.
During the visit, he flew the indigenous LCA Tejas aircraft with the Flying Daggers squadron, a move that showcased high levels of operational preparedness and confidence in the Indian-made aviation platform.
While interacting with the aircrew, he shared critical insights and lessons derived from recent contemporary operations to further sharpen their combat edge.The Air Marshal also visited the 24 TETTRA School, known as the Tejas Pioneers, which serves as a center of excellence for technical expertise on the Tejas aircraft for both pilots and technicians.
During this visit, he inaugurated a new Training Model Room designed to improve the technical and practical understanding of trainees. He commended the staff for their professionalism and highlighted the necessity of sharing practical experiences to enhance learning.
The visit served to motivate personnel and underscore the vital role that elite training plays in maintaining national operational readiness.
