Ramban district administration finalizes security and logistics for Shri Amarnath ji Yatra

RAMBAN, June 28, 2026:- Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Alyas Khan announced that the district administration is fully geared up for the upcoming Shri Amarnath ji Yatra, with all structural and logistical preparations nearing completion.

Inspecting the operational arrangements at Chanderkote, the administration confirmed that elaborate measures have been implemented along the route, with a primary emphasis on pilgrim safety, sanitation, healthcare, traffic management, and the seamless delivery of essential services.Key pilgrimage infrastructure across the district, including the transit camp at Lamber in Banihal, the Yatri Niwas at Chanderkote, designated community kitchen sites, lodgement centers, and emergency medical aid centers, have been established well in advance.

To facilitate the smooth movement of convoy vehicles, regional authorities have been conducting regular field inspections along the national highway, paying close attention to the progress of crucial tunnel and viaduct projects to minimize transit delays.

Multiple government departments are working in close coordination to manage the massive influx of pilgrims, establishing round-the-clock control rooms and deploying emergency response teams at all critical locations.

Medical personnel, ambulances, and rescue equipment have been stationed at strategic intervals, while specialized teams have been tasked with overseeing waste management, cleanliness, and public convenience facilities at all transit camps and community kitchens throughout the pilgrimage.
