Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha inspects facilities at Baltal base camp for Shri Amarnath ji Yatra

SRINAGAR, June 28, 2026 :- Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha visited Baltal alongside senior administrative and security officers to inspect health, lodging, and other pilgrim-centric arrangements at the base camp ahead of the upcoming Shri Amarnath ji Yatra.

During the visit, the Lieutenant Governor interacted directly with service providers and officials, instructing them to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, overall upkeep, and general service management to ensure a smooth experience for the visiting pilgrims.

As part of the inspection, Manoj Sinha visited the Baltal Base Camp Hospital to review the available healthcare infrastructure, including the patient wards, diagnostic laboratories, emergency units, and general patient care systems.

He commended the dedication of the attending doctors, paramedical staff, and healthcare workers, while directing them to ensure the round-the-clock availability of quality medical assistance, essential medicines, specialized care, and emergency equipment throughout the duration of the annual pilgrimage.

Speaking to media personnel at the site, the Lieutenant Governor highlighted that extensive preparations for the Shri Amarnath ji Yatra have been underway for several months through the collaborative efforts of the shrine board, the regional administration, the central government, and various allied departments.

He confirmed that comprehensive security frameworks and logistics are fully in place, expressing confidence that the management of this year’s pilgrimage will surpass the success of previous years.
