Udhampur, September 25:Police team of Police Station Rehambal led by its SHO while performing patrolling and checking duty intercepted a suspicious person who attempted to evade the police by turning back and walking away upon noticing the patrolling party. His behavior raised further suspicion.
On being frisked, the person was identified as Jeevan Kumar S/O Tuleyinder Kumar R/o Ward No. 07, Udhampur. During the search, 3.53 grams of heroin was recovered from his possession.The accused was arrested on the spot.
In this regard, Case FIR No. 147/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Rehambal. Further investigation is underway.
