DG BSF Praveen Kumar elevates three Commandants to Deputy Inspector General rank at New Delhi headquarters

New Delhi, August 03, 2026: Border Security Force Director General Praveen Kumar today presided over a special rank piping ceremony held at the Force Headquarters in New Delhi, where three senior Commandants were formally promoted to the rank of Deputy Inspector General.

The newly elevated officers include Satish Kumar Shashtri, Amar Bir Singh, and Pramendra Kumar, all of whom were decorated with their new insignia during the official event.The ceremony was attended by senior officers of the Border Security Force alongside the family members of the newly promoted officers, marking a significant milestone in their service careers.
