Air Marshal S Shrinivas Visits Air Force Station Begumpet, Emphasizes Training Excellence for IAF Operational Capability

BEGUMPET, July 17, 2026 :- Air Marshal S Shrinivas, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief (AOC-in-C), Training Command, accompanied by Mrs. Sunita Shrinivas, President of the Air Force Wives Welfare Association (Regional) [AFFWA (R)], paid an official visit to Air Force Station Begumpet on July 16, 2026.

Upon his arrival, the Air Marshal was honored with a ceremonial Guard of Honour, which marked the commencement of his comprehensive review of the base. During the visit, he inspected the station’s diverse flying, maintenance, training, and administrative operations to evaluate their ongoing efficiency and standards.

Air Marshal Shrinivas also interacted directly with the station personnel and trainees from the Weapon Systems School and the Navigation Training School. During these interactions, he strongly emphasized that maintaining rigorous excellence in training is crucial, as it forms the very foundation of the Indian Air Force’s (IAF) robust operational capabilities.
