Kathua 08 September :- For a second day, the skies over the ravaged Ujh riverbank in Kathua hummed with the sound of hope, as the district administration, backed by the Indian Army, executed a critical drone-led relief operation to the completely cut-off residents of Chilla village near Juthana.
With all access roads utterly destroyed by recent flash floods, traditional ground-based aid delivery remains impossible, cementing drones as the only viable lifeline for stranded families. The sophisticated operation saw unmanned aerial vehicles meticulously airlifting ration kits and essential supplies, ensuring that households, isolated by the swirling floodwaters, received direct aid delivered straight to their doorsteps.
This continuous aerial bridge underscores a committed shift to modern technology in disaster management, transforming what was a scene of devastation into one of resilience, where relief rains from the skies to foster hope on the ground.
