Srinagar 08 September :- A generally cloudy day is forecast for Jammu and Kashmir on Monday, September 8th, with one or two spells of light rain or thunder expected at many places across the union territory.
The MET Centre Srinagar has indicated a possibility of brief moderate showers over isolated districts of the Jammu division. Residents, particularly travellers, should be aware of the potential for landslides and shooting stones at a few vulnerable locations and are advised to stay away from water bodies, nallas, river embankments, and loose structures.
Looking ahead, a shift to generally hot and humid conditions is anticipated from Tuesday, September 9th, through to Friday, September 12th. During this period, brief spells of rain or thunder may still occur at a few places until the evening of the 12th.
Farmers are advised to utilize this relatively dry window from the 9th onwards for the harvesting of paddy and other farm operations.A fresh spell of weather activity is expected to arrive by Saturday, September 13th. Light to moderate rain and thundershowers are likely at many places across J&K, commencing in the early morning or morning hours.
