Jammu Municipal Corporation Commissioner reviews development works in Ward 61
JAMMU, JULY 03: Jammu Municipal Corporation Commissioner Devansh Yadav conducted an extensive tour of Ward No. 61, including Laxmi Vihar, Tomal Colony, Anand Nagar, and Bohri, to assess civic infrastructure and review ongoing development projects.
During the visit, local residents submitted a memorandum highlighting long-pending grievances such as damaged internal roads, waterlogging, irregular drinking water supply, and flooding caused by the overflow of the Muthi/Udhawala and Om Nagar main drains near the Tomal Colony cremation ground.
The Commissioner inspected the affected areas and reviewed the ongoing drainage improvement works being executed across the locality. Yadav directed the executing agencies to complete all projects within the set timeframe while strictly maintaining quality standards.
To address the issues raised by the residents, immediate on-the-spot directions were issued to the concerned officers. Yadav instructed officials to conduct regular desilting of drains, prepare comprehensive proposals to strengthen the drainage network, and expedite road repairs.
The Commissioner also emphasized the need for close coordination with other departments to resolve drinking water and power supply issues, reaffirming the corporation’s commitment to prioritizing public concerns and upgrading civic infrastructure.
