Jammu Power Shutdown: JPDCL Announces Scheduled Outages Across Multiple Districts on July 4
JAMMU, JULY 03, 2026 — The Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns across various parts of the Jammu division on Saturday, July 4, to facilitate necessary maintenance and upgradation works. According to an official communication from the Chief Engineer (Distribution), JPDCL Jammu, residents in several prominent areas, including parts of Rajouri, R.S. Pura, and Jammu city, will face temporary power disruptions during the morning hours.
In the Rajouri region, the electricity supply to Koteranka, Thanamandi, Manjakote, parts of Rajouri City, and their adjoining areas will be suspended from 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Simultaneously, a five-hour outage from 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM has been scheduled for R.S. Pura, Purana Pind, Kullian, Miran Sahib, Biaspur, Salher, and neighboring localities.
Major commercial and residential hubs within Jammu city and its outskirts will also experience outages. Power supply to Transport Nagar, Narwal, Railway Colony, Upper Chowadi, parts of Channi Himmat, Malik Market, Matto Colony, Bathindi, Sunjwan, Boria, and adjacent areas will remain affected from 5:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Additionally, residents of Bathindi and Sunjwan will experience brief, specific interruptions from 5:30 AM to 6:00 AM and again from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM. Meanwhile, a longer power curtailment is planned for Sarthal, Mandir, Kuntwara, and adjoining regions, where supply will be disconnected from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Consumers have been advised to plan ahead and make necessary arrangements to minimize inconvenience during the maintenance period.
