Minister Satish Sharma Holds Public Grievance Camp, Promises Swift Redressal
SRINAGAR, JULY 3, 2026 — Minister for Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, IT, Youth Services & Sports, and Science & Technology, Satish Sharma, conducted a major public outreach initiative today, meeting with various delegations across Jammu and Kashmir to address pressing developmental and administrative issues. Reaffirming the Omar Abdullah-led government’s dedication to transparent, people-centric governance, the Minister listened to a diverse range of grievances and assured all attendees that their genuine concerns would be resolved in a time-bound manner through well-coordinated departmental action.
Among the primary groups seeking intervention was a 118-member delegation representing the Brick & Tile Factory Industrial Estate in Pampore. The entrepreneurs highlighted a frustrating four-year procedural delay in securing possession of allocated industrial land despite fulfilling all necessary formalities. Emphasizing that industrial growth and employment generation are vital to the region’s economy, Minister Sharma promised to escalate the land possession matter to the highest administrative levels to ensure genuine investors are no longer stalled by red tape.
Additionally, the Minister engaged with several key trade and youth bodies to streamline essential public services and welfare. Representatives from the Fair Price Shop Association and the Kerosene Dealers Association raised operational bottlenecks regarding ration depots, commission disbursements, and supply chains. Similarly, National Youth Corps (NYC) representatives submitted a memorandum detailing welfare concerns. Sharma assured these groups, alongside individual citizens seeking infrastructure upgrades in road connectivity, electricity, and clean water, that the government is actively working to eliminate systemic delays and deliver inclusive development directly to the grassroots level.
