Indian Navy P8I aircraft arrives in Hawaii to participate in RIMPAC 2026 maritime exercise
HONOLULU, July 3, 2026An Indian Navy P-8I Long Range Maritime Reconnaissance and Anti-Submarine Warfare aircraft has arrived in Honolulu, Hawaii, to take part in the Rim of the Pacific Exercise, widely known as RIMPAC 2026.
This prestigious event stands as one of the world’s largest multinational maritime exercises and is scheduled to run throughout the entire month from July 1 to July 31, 2026.
The strategic deployment of the advanced maritime aircraft reaffirms the commitment of the Indian Navy to promoting a free, open, inclusive, and rules-based Indo-Pacific region.
By participating alongside multiple international fleets, the Indian Navy aims to significantly enhance its interoperability, bolster maritime domain awareness, and strengthen operational cooperation with partner navies.
