DRDE conducts CBRN training programme for CISF personnel to enhance aviation security
GWALIOR, July 3, 2026 — The Defence Research and Development Establishment successfully conducted the first batch of a two-day Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear training programme for Central Industrial Security Force personnel.
Held from June 24 to June 25 at the Gwalior facility, the initiative brought together 30 personnel from various units to strengthen their preparedness and operational response against potential CBRN threats.The specialized training was led by scientists and subject matter experts who provided deep insights into chemical and biological warfare, alongside practical measures for detection, protection, and decontamination.
The comprehensive curriculum was designed to significantly enhance the operational readiness and response capabilities of the security personnel handling critical aviation security.The event concluded with a valedictory ceremony where certificates were presented to all the participants.
Central Industrial Security Force officials also expressed their appreciation to the research team for their invaluable support in executing the training programme seamlessly.
