CISF senior officers review Amarnath Yatra 2026 security preparedness

JAMMU, July 1, 2026:- Senior Central Industrial Security Force officers conducted a comprehensive review of operational readiness and security arrangements across various deployment locations in Kathua, Samba, and Jammu ahead of the upcoming Amarnath Ji Yatra. Navajyoti Gogoi, IG North Sector, Akhilesh Kumar, IG DAE-DOS, and M. K. Yadav, DIG NZ-II, led the field visits to assess the preparedness of the personnel stationed for the annual pilgrimage.

During their inspections, the senior officials closely examined the security protocols in place and engaged directly with the deployed troops. They stressed the critical need for constant vigilance, meticulous anti-sabotage screenings, and robust security measures, while also reminding the force to provide seamless assistance to the arriving pilgrims.

Alongside security operations, the leadership evaluated troop welfare initiatives, encouraging the personnel to maintain high standards of dedication, professionalism, and operational excellence throughout the demanding duty period.

The visiting delegation also traveled to the Government Medical College in Jammu to check on the Central Industrial Security Force personnel who were recently injured in a road accident while on transit for pilgrimage duties. The officers expressed their support, inquired about the ongoing treatment, and wished the jawans a swift recovery.

They also coordinated with the local hospital administration to ensure that the injured personnel receive top-tier medical care and that comprehensive assistance is extended to their families.
