Jammu and Kashmir government reinforces commitment to public outreach and responsive governance

JAMMU, June 16, 2026 :- The Jammu and Kashmir government has reiterated that sustained engagement with citizens is vital for maintaining a transparent and accountable administration. Minister for Health and Medical Education, Social Welfare, and Education Sakeena Itoo reaffirmed this commitment during a series of meetings with multiple public delegations and individual citizens at the Civil Secretariat.

The interaction allowed people from various areas and sections of society to directly present their grassroots challenges and developmental needs to the leadership.The visiting groups and individuals raised a wide range of localized issues, specifically focusing on the improvement of healthcare services, educational facilities, social welfare initiatives, civic amenities, and regional infrastructure. Other citizens brought forward personal grievances that required prompt administrative intervention.

The Minister gave a patient hearing to all the presentations, assuring the public that their genuine concerns would be prioritized and forwarded to the respective departments for immediate action. She emphasized that public outreach helps the administration identify and address community needs effectively.The Minister stressed the government’s broader vision of ensuring equitable development, efficient public service delivery, and welfare-oriented governance across Jammu and Kashmir.

To achieve this, she directed concerned departmental officers to maintain close coordination with all local stakeholders. She emphasized that coordinated efforts are essential to resolve public grievances promptly, ensuring that developmental initiatives and welfare schemes reach their intended beneficiaries in a timely and transparent manner.
