Indian Army Gajraj Corps Organizes World No Tobacco Day Events in Arunachal Pradesh

TEZPUR, June 4, 2026 — The Blazing Sword Division and Red Horns Division of the Indian Army Gajraj Corps organized a series of military-civil fusion initiatives across Arunachal Pradesh to mark World No Tobacco Day. The events were designed to promote healthy lifestyles and raise awareness about the dangers of tobacco usage among local communities.

As part of the campaign, the Sela Warriors unit set up a medical camp in Thingbu Village, providing comprehensive healthcare services, free medical consultations, and health awareness guidance to more than 200 local residents.The army units also focused on engaging local youth through interactive sports and fitness activities in different parts of the region.

A specialized badminton tournament was organized for students and young residents in Senge to encourage physical fitness and community spirit.

Additionally, a motorcycle rally spanned the route from Paneri to Shergaon, drawing widespread attention to active living and the positive impacts of a tobacco-free lifestyle.
