Delhi Police Crime Branch arrests wanted proclaimed offender with 30 criminal cases
NEW DELHI, May 27, 2026 — The Eastern Range-2 unit of the Delhi Police Crime Branch has arrested a notorious criminal and proclaimed offender wanted in connection with an Arms Act case registered at the New Usmanpur police station.
The arrested individual has an extensive criminal history, with links to approximately 30 criminal cases involving serious offenses such as murder, theft, and violations of the Arms Act and Excise Act.
The suspect had been absconding and frequently changing locations to evade law enforcement agencies.The successful operation was executed by a team led by Inspector Umesh Sati, under the guidance of Assistant Commissioner of Police Narender Singh.
The entire crackdown was carried out under the overall supervision of Deputy Commissioner of Police Pankaj Kumar, marking a significant breakthrough for the Crime Branch in tracking down high-profile fugitives in the national capital region.
